/biography

« It is part of the Photographer’s job to see things more intensely than most people.

He must have and maintain within him something  of the receptiveness of a child who sees the world for the first time or that of the eyes of a traveller in a foreign land » Bill Brandt

I am very attached to this quotation of the famous photographer Bill Brandt.

I believe that I possess this child's perspective; new, curious, inquisitive of the environment but more particularly on the people, the faces, the expressions and the feelings.

This look which tries to capture the moment, the detail, a unique moment.

The light, my ally.  The emotion, my engine.

This passion was transmitted to me by my father. A Professional of black and white portraits, and Argentic film processing.

I spent a lot of time with him in a black room, impatient to see the photo « showing itself ».

Then, attracted by the writing and the journeys, I traveled around the islands of the Caribbean  to gather all of these passions, and shaped them into a magazine created in 2007, "The Islands’ Dream ".

During these journeys, I met extraordinary people. My photography was able to capture their fascinating expressions, which illustrate the enjoyment or sadness in their lives.

The photo is an average fantasy to observe the world under very different angles.

It is a very subjective translation of our vision of the world and the people.

The photo is a magnificent selective memory.

To end, I leave you with a Pierre Movila quotation :

‘A photograph, it is a cardiac arrest of a fraction of a second ‘
